Your role at Tumi: 

The Account Executive, Specialty Retailers is a passionate product-oriented, and analytical individual who will be a key driver of the North American wholesale business. This includes responsibility for all specialty retailers in North America. This person will partner with the wholesale team in maintaining and opening new accounts that align with brand messaging and future brand goals.  

  • Build and maintain relationships with all Specialty retailers within the TUMI North America customer base
  • Identify and cultivate new customer relationships and opportunities 
  • Manage product assortments to reflect TUMI assortment planning guidelines
  • Meet internal shipping and margin goals monthly, driving reorders and managing liabilities
  • Maintain ongoing shipping forecasts for use in monthly financial projections
  • Entrepreneurial, with the ability to evolve the existing business into an updated model
  • Launch B2B web portal for “account self-service.” 
  • Conduct seasonal product presentations with all customers
  • Communicate with customer service/credit on open issues
  • Strong follow-up and completion skills
  • Work cross-functionally to develop seasonal inventory projections and forecast sales/ markdowns
  • Ability to work independently with an entrepreneurial spirit while being an integral part of a multi-faceted team

We're excited if you have:

  • 5+ years related experience, tech experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Retail math
  • Strong written communication skills, engaging verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading product training, visual merchandising
  • Comfortable using technology to organize large volumes of information and inform future data-driven decisions
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain high personal standards
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel, approximately 30%
  • This position is NJ based, with the ability to be in the NYC office as needed
  • Employees work in the office four and remotely one day weekly
