Your role at Tumi: 

TUMI is seeking an entrepreneurial and analytical individual to join the eCommerce team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about product and the online shopping experience. This role is responsible for overseeing online visual merchandising and product content strategy to drive impact, improvement and innovation to grow the eCommerce business.

We are looking for a self-motivated team player who can partner closely with internal team members, as well as someone who enjoys partnering cross-functionally.  The eCommerce Site Merchandiser will support with building the eCommerce product strategy to ensure it meets and/or exceeds the channel’s financial goals. They will work to continually optimize the TUMI.com online merchandise assortment in collaboration with a variety of cross-functional teams, inclusive of planning, product management, creative, marketing, technology, third-party vendors and key international eCommerce partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create online visual merchandising strategy and online customer experience to support product strategy
  • Continuously monitor product performance online; providing recommendations on selling opportunities, curating the online shops and overall online experience
  • Leverage test & learn online merchandising strategies; demonstrating curiosity and applying key learnings
  • Modifying online shop assortments real-time based on learnings and trends
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to have an in-depth knowledge of marketing initiatives including new launches to understand impact on sales and inventory needs
  • Partner with Digital Manager and eCommerce team members to execute new product launches across digital channels.
  • Partner with Omni Channel Merchant to ensure tumi.com product opportunities are bubbled up
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of eCommerce product catalog across digital sales channels
  • Maintain and update item assets in content management system
  • Manage all merchandising activities related to online product information
  • Create monthly and quarterly insights to make customer informed decisions around future merchandising strategies
  • Identify opportunities based on customer behavior data
  • Partner with Online Operations to driving site optimization and navigation strategies to support our changing business needs
  • Support the roadmap for the NA ecommerce business that meets / exceeds the financial goals, inclusive of have having the appropriate ecommerce product assortment
  • Create a partnership with the Global Merchandising team to ensure product needs are met such as key trends, opportunities, eCommerce exclusives, etc.
  • Review product sales history and track trends online in close partnership with planning and global merchandising

We're excited if you have:

  • BA degree or equivalent
  • Solid business acumen and analytical skills with ability to make data driven suggestions
  • Experience with product/catalog/sales management software
  • Merchandising experience with a multi-category business using data and analytics
  • 5+ years’ of relevant experience in ecommerce or buying and/or inventory management
  • Managerial experience
  • Strong MS Office experience particularly within Excel a must
  • Someone who is product obsessed and enjoys being knowledgeable on product assortments
  • Ability to work quickly to analyze and review large amounts of data in excel. Understanding of inventory models and metrics
  • Business knowledge of online merchandising concepts
  • Enjoys test & learn approach; experimenting with online merchandising strategy
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture and Search and Merchandising Platforms
  • Experience in site search optimization and maintenance a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus!
