Your role at Tumi:
If you are interested in becoming a part of the Tumi team as the Visual Merchandising Graphic Designer, you should have strong artistic expression and the ability to produce compelling and creative ideas that support Tumi brand initiatives and deliver Company objectives. This position supports the Corporate Visual Merchandising Team creating visual merchandising direction for windows and interiors for TUMI Full Price retail stores and Outlets, US Travel retail stores and US Wholesale channels. This position also supports the activation space located within the Soho flagship location, NYC showroom and the LAB. This position is based in NYC.
• Interior & Window Directives
o Manage directive shoots
§ Create shot list partnering with corporate merchandiser
§ Obtain needed samples and coordinate delivery to directive location
§ Confirm agreeable date for all shoot attendees
§ Photograph each shot
§ Return samples
o Create directives
§ Photoshop and/or render all images
§ Layout directive per corporate template
§ Distro internally collecting feedback and updating changes
§ Post directive and send communication globally
• Manage Global window rotation calendar for Full Price and Outlet
• Manifest concept magnetic wall creative direction quarterly
• One off directives, as needed
• Seasonal updates to NYC showroom and the LAB
• Create ideas for Activation Space in NYC Soho location, collaborations, and special events
• Manage all VM communication on TUMIEXPRESS
• Store support for Full Price Retail, Outlet and Wholesale
We're excited if you have:
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years of experience working in a corporate position within the areas of visual merchandising, creative project coordination, creative project services, and three-dimensional design
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel); SketchUp a plus
• Must have knowledge of product placement and visual display, as well as the ability to communicate creative and artistic expression
• Must have the ability to produce compelling and creative presentations aligned with the TUMI DNA and core values
• Strong attention to detail, design aesthetic and excellent organizational skills
• An ability to build good rapport with key cross functional teams
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability
• Understanding of photography
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel, if needed

$60,000 per year
Maximum Pay Rate:
$65,000 per year
